you first log in to your computer, you can select one of your own or you can use one of the many Apple options. I have had to go on google and find pictures forever for my iChat icon. I remember that somewhere in the computer there was a whole file full of little pictures like that.

I realized that I needed to actually DO stuff with a computer.and I enjoy building my own and tinkering, something you never could do that well with Macintosh's. As for Apple's current incarnation of it's OS.well, I barely recognize it.the last one I used with any regularity was 8.6.so a while ago. So, what are you? Mac or PC? Why? Why not? I'd love any answers, verbose or spartan, because frankly, I'm bored and, frankly, 'Polls and Surveys' lacks the serious atmosphere and the caliber of answerers as over here. Well, you won't find me among the hordes of scoffers b*tching about the capabilities of a Macintosh or rather the capabilities it supposedly *doesn't have. I'm well aware of what those powerful machines can do. Now.as for their operating system.that's a whole other can of worms. tried resetting and all the tips apple give you but still no hope

My Macbook (which I bought in Jan 2007) has broke.

crack started off as a little star and then the crack spread across the screen and now a blue liquid has kind of leaked through. I can still use the computer its just really hard to read some things. I brought it to the Apple store and even though I have a warranty which was very expensive, it dosn't cover screens! I am very angry.

total cost of a new MacBook screen is around $800. If I was going to spend that type of money I would just buy a new one. I dont know what to do, I found new Macbook screens on the internet for around $300 dollars but then I would need someone to install them? I was also playing with the idea of selling this one on Ebay and getting some money to buy a new one, but who would want this computer anyways? Any ideas of what I should do?
