I just bought a wireless keyboard and mouse. I'm trying to install the software, but I receve and error message saying windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.

may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item”. How do I fix this? Can I lower the security setting? I'm not computer literate, so please help. I installed the same software on my laptop and it works.

December 3rd, 2007 by

yesterday my dad and i had a big arguemenent about A COMPUTER! I had just downloaded new software and it didnt work so my mom went to take it in.

came back and it was fixed but they hid it from me until i did my homework. I wined and all and then i was just playing with the faucet and accidently got lots of water on the floor.

my dad came up to me and said “YOUR JUST DOING THAT TO BE ANNOYING!! CLEAN IT UP NOW!!” and i did then he asked me to find something on the home computer and i couldnt. i got really pissed cuz i felt he was mad at me for trying and was talking to my mom.

he got mad at me for being “harsh' with my mom. So he comes up and says “IF YOU DO ANY DAMAGE TO THIS HOUSE YOU WILL PAY FOR IT! and hit me!! My mom and i were only talking about the computer. I asked him if he thought iwas right to hit a child and he said it was in his house it was. I was appauled.

he thought it was MY lack of communicated TWORDS HIM. he's attacked b4. IS THIS RIGHT??

My computer Windows XP cannot run any exe file after installed Norton 360 which auto unstalled Norton05. Why?

December 3rd, 2007 by

I loaded Norton 360 (free trial 15 days) into my computer where there were virus.

start installing, first unstalling my Norton 2005, then restarted computer.

that I cannot run any icon on screen nor in program menu. If I run MS word, have to go to my picture in start menu, then folder, find a MS word file in a folder, double click to open it, then pick new file to start. I deleted adware and all files in temp, opened in safe mode, as Norton tech support told me, still could not run any exe file in start menu run.

using Panda active online scanning to delete 475 virus in my computer, still cannot run any exe file. I guess when unstalling old Norton 2005, maybe damaged some functions of windows xp. I bought this Sony refurnished computer with windows xp and a lot of Sony software.

I don't have windows xp disk.

can I fix the problem “cannot run exe file in windows xp in my computer”?

(How) Can I partition my hardrive into 'required' and 'added' software (oh, and a backup drive)?

December 2nd, 2007 by

I currently have my computer down to (nearly) only required software and I want to create a partition between all that I have right now and all the files I am going to add (music, files, etc) I also want to add a backup parition.

can I do this and keep each partitions as slim as possible? I have a small 20G hardrive so I want to preserve as much space as possible.

Are there any bicycle computers that actually hook up to a computer (for trainer purposes)?

December 2nd, 2007 by

With the colder weather hitting, I've gotten myself a mag resistance trainer and moved my bike indoors. I have a cheap but decent enough bike computer (odometer, speedometer, etc.) that I now need to move to the back wheel, and get spacers for, etc. so it will be close enough to the magnet on the spoke.

that is fine.

in the meantime, I was wondering if they made any (reasonably inexpensive) bicycle computers can that actually link to a laptop via firewire, USB or Bluetooth, so I can get nice big readouts and maybe even software that tracks your workout overall? If yes, but expensive, what are they anyway so I can take a look? (Otherwise I'll just use what I have!) Mostly I just want a really big screen! I just hate having to squint to read numbers off a tiny 1″ screen! (And oh yes, I need to get myself a regular tire. Everyone in the house laughs when they hear the knobby mountain bike tire wailing against the resistance wheel.

like I'm taking off!)

I would love to find a program that allows me to work with my photos, is simple to use, also allows me to send

December 1st, 2007 by

I have tried so many photo programs and all I end up with is frustration.

are either too difficult to work with having too many things you can do that I really don't feel like learning to do. I want a program that allows me to easily download pictures, edit pictures, and send via e-mail or share on line. I have tried Kodak Easy Share, Panasonic Photo Expressions, Impossible Photo Shop. I was told there is a program related to Photo Shop and the name of it escapes me now. I tried to buy it when I was in the U.S. but could not find it so gave up. I take many photos and I live in China which has caused a problem as well with finding the “perfect” photo handling software. I have also tried web sites which in themselves create much difficulty as well.

of my experience has been being able to do some things or getting ready to send by e-mail or other ways and then being told that there is an error.

computer age has been difficult for me to move into.

anyone help me?
