I was at a computer repair shop trying to show them a problem I was having with my computer. To show the problem I had to go online and in order to get online they had to change my proxy settings.

never returned my settings back to normal afterwards and I've forgotten where they went so I can change it back.

My computer shows that it's connected to our wireless network, and that the signal is excellent, but when you try to connect to firefox or ie, it won't connect.

could the problem be? I tried repairing, restarting the router, rebooting the computer. Didn't work.

I followed the instructions step by step, and now have an Ethernet connection between the modem and the computer, but the modem still will not work correctly. I have the 2007 Norton Internet Security and I have noticed my computer running slower, so I ran a full system scan. It only found one problem, and it was called a “Tracking Cookie”. I had it resolved and it said there were no more problems.

the next day I ran the scan again and it found the same tracking cookie and I resolved it again.

done this everyday and theres always that same tracking cookie there that I have to get rid of.

do I permanently get rid of it? Because Norton cant seem to.

I frequently delete internet cookies and files on my browser too keep it from slowing down so that cant be the problem.

know whats wrong?
