Congressman Steve King (R-IA) is the hero of Americans for his courageous stand in 2006 to fight bilingual ballots during the Voting Rights Act reauthorization. A requirement of becoming a citizen is English proficiency, yet bi-lingual ballots encourage illiteracy in English by those who have or plan to become citizens. We must make English the official language, and to stop illegal immigration and amnesty. Rep. King is the Chairman of the Conservative Opportunity Society.
